5 Essential Apps For Sports Fans Everywhere

By Margaret.

When geeks and sports fans come together, what do you get? Awesome sports apps, that’s what! I am one such geek, and I have an army of great apps on my phone with their own sports category. With so many great matches, games, and tournaments happening all over the world, I need some easy ways to keep up.

Not only that, but I’ve been known to indulge in some sporting activity myself. Luckily, I’ve got a ton of great apps to help in that department too. So, if you love following sports, and playing them, here’s a list of apps you’ll desperately want.

  1. Thuuz Sports

This app has one amazing feature that I love. As I’m sure you know, there are hundreds of games on around the world. Many of them happening at the same time. How do I know which one to watch or follow? If you’ve ever found yourself flicking between the football, baseball, and athletics, you’ll know how I feel! You don’t want to miss out on the best action. That’s where Thuuz comes in. It ranks every sporting activity according to excitement. If you need to know the most fever-pitch exciting game happening right now, go onto Thuuz, and they’ll tell you.

  1. Enjore

I recently discovered this app after joining a local football team. It’s a cool way to keep track of all the information happening in your local league. Every player and coach gets a login, and you can see fixtures, results, and league info. Members can upload pictures from the local matches, and write reviews of the games. It’s a football tournament software that keeps you up to date with everything in the local leagues.

  1. Score Centre

There are two versions of this. Sky Sports Score Center for UK and European audiences, and ESPN Score Centre for America. Both are fantastic, and they are easily the best way to stay on top of all matches around the world. It gives you real time scores and updates. They also run transfer rumours and breaking news. Best of all, you can personalise it to your favourite sports, and set up notifications for the things you love.

  1. Ski Tracks

This is another app I discovered recently when I went up into the mountains. A friend introduced me to it, as I wondered how he knew so much about the conditions up on the mountain! Turns out he was using Ski Tracks to access all the data about our current location. The app uses your GPS location to show you which ski routes are accessible, and which lifts are open. It tells you when snowfall is predicted, and what time it will get dark. It’s an essential tool if you’re an avid skier!

  1. Nike+

It was a tricky choice for the final app. But, I have to choose Nike+ because it gets so much use on my phone. The app is the perfect way to measure your general fitness and activity. It’s an app that help improve your life. Nike+ uses GPS to track how far you walk, run or cycle every day. It breaks down your calories, and you can set goals and targets easily.

It seems that sports and apps are a match made in heaven. Have I missed any of your essential sports apps?
